Maison Du Cap

We were sorry to stay only one night, but we'll definitely come back on our next visit to Franschhoek. The hotel is right in the town centre, so we could walk everywhere, including to dinner, and felt very safe. We loved the pool, the delicious breakfast, and the amazing homemade mango cake they offered for free. The room was beautiful, clean, and neat, and we felt comfortable throughout. The staff were kind and friendly, and we even got a sweet surprise greeting from the little Yorkie when we arrived.

My favourite detail was the freshly baked cake guests can enjoy for free in the afternoon. The location is so central, just a three minute walk to town, and close to wine farms and restaurants. Staff were lovely and friendly. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast with plenty of choices, the beautiful decor, spacious rooms, comfy beds, and the pool with lounge beds. There were extra treats in the room when we arrived too. It's a lovely boutique hotel, and we'll definitely stay again.

We wished we could have stayed longer at Maison du Cap. The guest house has a lovely atmosphere and is within walking distance of town. Millicent gave us a warm welcome, and their little Yorkie was friendly too. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a Nespresso machine as a nice extra. Breakfast was hearty and delicious, and we loved the fruit salad served in little mason jars.

The thoughtful touches made my birthday weekend feel so special. There were balloons and chocolates in our room, and the guest house arranged a mobile massage. I felt thoroughly pampered. Maison du Cap is in the heart of Franschoek, about a minute's walk from the main road, but we couldn't hear the street bustle. The staff are quiet and gentle, which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The house and surroundings are beautiful, everything is elegant and spotless, and the living room has an amazing fireplace for chilly winter days. There's also a lovely pool and outdoor area. Our cozy, beautifully decorated bedroom even had its own small pool and patio. Breakfast each day was tasty, with lots of options. My husband and I look forward to coming back in summer, and I'd highly recommend it.
