We felt right at home in the quiet, peaceful setting. The pool was lovely for cooling down after a day at the wineries, and breakfast overlooking the mountains was a great start to the day. The lounge and bar are beautiful, the grounds sit among gardens, vineyards and mountains, and it’s less than a ten-minute walk to Franschhoek’s Main Street. Roger is a fantastic host, and the staff are friendly and helpful. See you next time!

The friendly team were great at suggesting restaurants and vineyards, and we loved the breakfast. There was also wine in the room, a nice touch. The grounds are beautifully kept and the decor is stylish, with the main Franschhoek restaurants and shops only a few minutes away on foot. One of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed in. We’ll be back one day!

The Cape Vue team made us feel very welcome, and the vineyard setting is picture perfect. Our magnificent room had a huge bed and a beautiful private terrace with mountain views. Breakfast was lovely, especially the buffet of homemade breads and preserves. It’s a peaceful guest house within walking distance of Franschhoek high street restaurants and shops. Highly recommend it for a stay in Franschhoek!

We loved our stay so much that we rebooked for next year on the first day. The staff were wonderful, the rooms amazing, and the views outstanding. Wine, water and milk were thoughtful complimentary touches, and the main high street is within walking distance. I’m almost nervous to give it five stars because I don’t want everyone to find out about this place!

The country house has such a peaceful, intimate feel, and we loved being able to walk into town. The food was stellar, the views stunning, and the grounds and landscaping impeccable. Inside, the decor is tasteful and tranquil, and the staff were delightful and accommodating. It was a beautiful, unforgettable stay at Cape Vue country house. Can’t wait to return!
