The views are beautiful, and the booking manager was friendly and very helpful. But the owners' many rules made us feel like children being told what we could and couldn't do. Being told we were loud via a camera in the Bar area felt strange and unexpected. The owners weren't as friendly as the booking manager, and the place could use some new energy. Our breakfast wasn't what I'd call a Full English Breakfast. We won't book again, especially after an unnecessary comment from one of the owners on the day we checked out.

A very peaceful place, and the owners were fantastic.

The owners try to be kind, but their focus on the house rules felt a bit rigid and didn't leave us with a warm welcome. It's an okay place to stay in Gansbaai, though we expected a better breakfast, with fresh fruit and fresh juices.

We were very disappointed with Blougans B&B. The room furnishings needed attention, and the place didn't feel professional. They only take cash. I wouldn't rate it above two stars, and we won't return.

This was an embarrassing disappointment for the ladies who had been looking forward to some downtime in Gansbaai. My friend from the UK booked three single rooms for our arrival on January 30, but when we got there, one room had been given away. They said they now had only two rooms and asked whether we could share. They claimed we'd cancelled the original booking, though we had arrived to check in. We later learned they'd accepted a 21-day booking. We were also told to cancel our booking, and that they would mark us as a no-show the next morning so they could still get their commission, even though we were there. Their attitude was upsetting, and they tried to blame my friend for the mistake. I won't refer anyone to them in future.
