For a short work stay, Jamead Self Catering was practical and charming, right in the heart of George. The furniture and appliances have a vintage feel. It’s simple and convenient, though Wi-Fi was poor and there aren’t many modern amenities.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay. The guesthouse has spacious rooms and a lounge, plus a fully equipped kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee. The gardens are beautiful, parking feels safe, and Shops and Restaurants are close by. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll certainly visit again.

The rooms are basic, but still have what you need: DSTV, cutlery, cups and plates, an iron, and a 2-plate stove with a small oven. There’s also a braai area and secure undercover parking. A few garages and shops are within walking distance. The price is reasonable, the WiFi decent, and I enjoyed my stay. A good option for a holiday in the George area.

Very central in George, with the regional hospital and garden route mall nearby and another shopping centre even closer. There’s free wifi, and it’s across from a laundry place. Great spot.

Bruce, the manager, was efficient and helpful, and the room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was lumpy and felt tired, though, and the carpets need a proper vacuum and clean.
