Absolute Cornwall

The breakfasts and dinners felt just like mom’s cooking, and the bed was really comfortable. The facilities were amazing, very clean and neat. The owners, manager and staff were all awesome. A real gem, and I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in East London.

The central location made getting to work easy, and I could reach the fun, scenic parts of EL on weekends too. As a woman traveling alone, I felt incredibly safe and secure. I also made full use of the reliable internet and table space for working from home. The main BnB has an inverter, so there was no load shedding to interrupt my series, warm meals or ironed clothes. I was in East London on business and stayed at Absolute Cornwall BnB for four months. Most of that time was at the main BnB in Vincent, but if you want a more leisurely setting, ask about their private facility about 1km away. The top floor suite has a stunning view over the Nahoon River, and moving there at the end of my stay was well worth the wait. The whole team was friendly, my room was clean, and the laundry service was useful. They served hearty, homely meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you ask early enough, you can get a creamy bowl of porridge on a chilly morning!

The facilities have always been spotless, and the service is incredible. Nothing seems like too much trouble for Deon and Janet and their team. I’ve stayed at Absolute Cornwall several times over the past six years, since I no longer have a base in the Eastern Cape. Each stay gets better, and I’m looking forward to the next one.

The place was very clean, but the hospitality was terrible. There’s no parking for guests until you’ve signed in, so you have to park on the road, get out and check in before they give you a space. They don’t offer dinner, but that wasn’t mentioned when booking. At check-in they hand you R200 to use as you wish. They also don’t bring an iron to your room. There’s a small ironing room, but it has no light. Clean, but unfriendly overall.
