JFT self catering units

There are five bedrooms in the commune, plus a kitchen and living area. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the bathrooms are shared: two showers are in one room, and there are two separate toilets. There's a cleaner on the premises. Just be aware that the rooms don't have air conditioning.

The staff were polite, friendly, and ready to help make my stay comfortable. For one night, JFT Self Catering Units felt like a warm, easy-to-navigate break from the bustle of Southernwood. It was a nice alternative to the usual accommodation there. The building has been turned into a lovely self-catering place, with a modern feel that suits Southernwood. There are attractive rooms, communal bathrooms and a kitchen, plus an outdoor area where you can relax with others. There's also a spot to watch TV or work on a laptop. Visitors are allowed, but not inside after 10 p.m., and drinking isn't allowed. Reception is staffed during the day and for most of the night. The prices are reasonable, and the beach is a short drive away.

The place was clean and tidy, with big, spacious rooms. The women who greeted me when I arrived were very friendly and helpful.

I booked a double room through booking.com, but the room I got had no TV, toilet, or shower, so I had to use the shared facilities. Parking was inadequate too, and you have to get up early to let other cars out. Very disappointing. At least the room was very clean, the bedding looked fresh, and there was no cigarette smell.
