The animals coming close to us was beautiful, and my kids loved it. They tried to make our anniversary special with rose petals on the bed and sparkling wine, which I really appreciated. Overall, we had a good stay, but I doubt I’d go back. Getting from the rooms to the dining area was a pain, and the rough roads need a strong car suspension. The roads leading to the resort also have lots of huge potholes, making the trip a mission in rainy weather. Wi-Fi was down most of the time, and mobile data signal was hard to get. The cleaners could bring the place down. They barely did the minimum: our bathroom had a strong pee smell, the carpets need deep cleaning, and the tea cups and glasses weren’t washed or replaced. Bedding was changed once during the whole stay. I’d asked for a cotbed when booking, but was told on arrival there wasn’t one, so my baby had a mattress on the floor. There was only one 1.5l bottle of water per day, no matter how many guests, even though they warn you not to drink tap water. The food became monotonous. We had buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the food was similar throughout the whole week. The manager tried to sort out the bathroom issue, though.

Johannes made our game drive at Mpongo Park such a pleasure. He was friendly, knew a lot about the plants and animals, and shared interesting facts as we went. We spotted plenty of beautiful wildlife, and my family and I wished the drive could have lasted forever. We visited as part of the summer sizzle special, then enjoyed a meal that everyone liked, along with the welcoming staff and atmosphere. We felt so welcome that we were already talking about coming back for another drive. Thank you!

We had two great game drives with passionate rangers. The lodges are lovely, with beautiful views and comfortable beds, and the pool was warm and refreshing, with snacks and a bar. A perfect three-day stay.

The birthday experience the staff arranged for my partner made our stay especially memorable. Everyone went above and beyond, and the service throughout was warm and friendly. We loved the food, the view from our River Lodge Suite, and the captivating game drive. We’ll definitely return and hope to make more memories. Thanks to the whole team.

Peter gave us a wonderful safari experience, thanks again! We also got to look at several lodges. They all seemed clean and nice, and some of the woodwork was especially lovely.
