Parrot Peek B&B

Linda made our stay at Parrot Peek a pleasure, always willing to go the extra mile. The accommodation and service were excellent, and we were very happy there. If Linda has an opening when I’m next in the Eastern Cape, I’d book again in a heartbeat.

The price was expensive, and the stay didn’t feel worth it. Our arrival seemed to catch them by surprise: there were no hand towels, no milk for the kitchenette coffee, and no pen for the check-in sheet. We had to ask for emergency lights during loadshedding. There was just one towel for two guests, which we were told was standard. The fridge didn’t work and the bedside lamps had no bulbs, so the room amenities felt like they were only there for show. The property gate was broken and got stuck halfway, making it difficult to enter or leave. I went to reception several times for help, but it was empty each time. I tried messaging the owner to share what had happened so they could improve things, but got no reply.

The place was sublime, easy to find, and just far enough off the main road to stay quiet at night. The lady who made my breakfast was the friendliest ever. I booked my boss in and ended up getting a promotion.

The rooms are roomy and have a kitchen for self-catering, and the secure parking has its own remote control. I had a really nice stay, with the owner's generosity making me feel welcome.
