The Loerie Hide

We came on Friday afternoon and found lots of runners in the area, so I joined them for some exercise. This is our second visit to Lorie Hide, and I'd come again. The rooms are spacious, with clean, nice linen, and they've got all you need. Breakfast was a great full English, served in our room. You can run, but you can't hide the fact that this is a must stopover.

Carlene has a heart of gold and is amazing with her guests. The full breakfast is divine, and the hospitality is unmatched. It's a beaut of a B&B, a home away from home, with massive rooms and tranquil surroundings. Restaurants and all amenities are close by, and there's a spa a short walk away. I can't think of a better place to stay in East London.

Sue put so much effort into this place and made our stay comfortable. Our room was beautiful and clean, and breakfast was awesome. It really feels like a home away from home. We'll most definitely see you again!

After a taxing workday, a night in "The French Room" felt like a treat. The huge, luxurious bed let me watch a game of golf, and its headboard is designed like a balcony, facing a mural of French gardens and rivers. I sank into a foamy bubble bath in the bedroom with a hot cup of tea, then slept like I was on a cloud. Morning came with birdsong, avacado fruit hanging in the branches, and a gorgeous view from the balcony among the treetops. Frangipani, palm trees, elephant ear plants, and gregarious bougainvillea were all around. Coffee out there left me feeling utterly refreshed. I also had a dip in the pool and a short slide into the twinkling water, a delight for the senses and restorative in ways I couldn't imagine. Thank you, Sue, for hospitality and service beyond expectation, and a scrumptious breakfast!
