Abbys Guest House

The stay was good on 2025 10 10. The toilet flush had a problem, though, because the water pressure wasn't strong enough. Thanks.

The room setup was lovely, and the rates were reasonable. Abby welcomed us when we arrived. There was loadshedding, but the guesthouse had solar heating, so we could still do basics like warm up food and use the kettle. The power came back before long. Thanks, Abby, I'd definitely stay again.

Booking was straightforward, and the owners were warm and friendly. We spent the weekend there without any problems. It was clean and the nightly price was really good.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. She wouldn't give us a remote with the room keys, saying guests steal them, so whenever we wanted to go out, we had to ask her to open for us. She also insisted on cash, saying she didn't want her husband to see how much money the business was bringing in. The towels and sheets had been changed from white to dark colors because, she said, she didn't want them getting dirty. At 09:30, her cleaning lady knocked to remind us checkout was at 10:00. The woman was very rude. She seemed sweet at first, but that was only a front. It was the worst experience of my life.
