Our last morning in Gqeberha felt bittersweet. The accommodations at Isango Boutique Hotel & Spa were amazing, and we’re so grateful to the wonderful people there. Everything was immaculate, from the staff and chef to the housekeeping. If you’re in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, please visit and support this lovely place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The presidential suite was in a poor state. The ropes were dirty, and there were tissues with blood on the drawer. The yard was overgrown with weeds too. At check-in, the manager couldn't find our booking and had to call someone who was off duty for help. Dinner was another letdown, as we waited over an hour for the main course. This was our second visit, and the place has really gone downhill. Very disappointed. I don't think it deserves a rating.

When I called about a problem that was the hotel's responsibility, the operations manager was rude and talked down to me. She wouldn't take responsibility, laughed, and then hung up.

The staff were warm, helpful, and knew their stuff, and the rooms were comfortable. We came for the first time to try something different for Mother's Day, and it was worth every cent. The place is beautiful and well situated away from the crowds. The only small snag was the TV. We couldn't change channels and weren't sure why. I'd recommend it to visitors, tourists, and people coming for work.

The evening staff weren't very friendly. Also, there were no outlets beside the beds, so I had to borrow an extension cord to charge my phone nearby.
