Rose, the manager, was so helpful and kind, and Florence, the nanny, was wonderful with our two year old daughter. She loved them, and they clearly loved her too. The pool was a nice extra, and we had a fantastic stay with great value. We'll come back when we're in PE again.

We wouldn't stay here again, even for free. We booked three nights, 15-18Dec, and had issues from check-in, which the gardener handled without any COVID regulations being followed. No manager was on duty during our stay. On two nights, other guests were staying at the guesthouse with us, ignored the COVID rules and behaved as if the place were their own, with no regard for anyone else. We contacted the manager, who lived hours away, and were told to ask the gardener to speak to them. The result was two very loud nights with almost no sleep. At checkout, one of those guests insulted my wife. It was unacceptable. Having no on-site manager is appalling for a guesthouse where someone needs to oversee safety and rule compliance. In my opinion, the four-star rating isn't accurate.

Savages Fine Foods, a phenomenal cafe with what I think is P.E.'s best breakfast, is very close by. We stayed one night in the Little Treasure room, which is a good option for an overnight stop in P.E. It's on the small side but fine for that. The impressive four poster bed takes up much of the room and sits quite high, which might be a problem for some, though the mattress is very comfortable. The bathroom is small but works well, with excellent water pressure. There's no extractor fan, so the mirror fogs up, but there's another mirror in the bedroom. In hot weather, the lack of a/c or ceiling fan could be uncomfortable.
