The bedding smelled moldy, the bathroom wasn't hygienic, the wooden toilet seat was rotten, the shower was dirty and only trickled, and there were ants in the room. The bin and shower soap holder were rusty. There was no WiFi in the bedroom, and I couldn't order breakfast the night before. I couldn't get dinner at 19h50 either. I paid for three nights but checked out after the first one. They refused to refund the full amount for the remaining two nights. A shocking experience, and nothing like what was advertised.

I went to a year-end function at Sea Otters Lodge. The staff and manager were very friendly, and both the venue and the view are beautiful. I wish I'd had more time there and could have walked on the beach. Definitely worth the drive.

We were lucky enough to spot dolphins on three mornings in a row while having breakfast. Being so close to the sea is fantastic, and Sea Otters Lodge turned out to be a real gem. I'd recommend it if you're planning a trip to Port Elizabeth.

The food was excellent, and the pasta in my doggy bag lasted me two days. Service took a little longer because the long-distance swimming competition was underway, but the strict COVID precautions made us feel safe.

The food was unforgettable, especially the tender, juicy meat. There was more than we could finish, too. Miriam, with her warm smile, was a star, and she and Pierre made us feel so welcome. The service was professional while still being friendly and warm. This was my daughter's wedding venue, and I’d recommend it to any bride looking for a beautiful view, great food, and peace of mind. Thanks, Pierre and Miriam. I’ll never forget you. Gordon Ramsay, watch out!
