I was here for a hockey tournament, and the staff forgot to prepare our meals, so we had to play hungry. The place isn't bad, but there's no ocean view. I wouldn't choose it for a proper vacation.

We had a fantastic family stay at The Russel Guest House. Our flatlet had everything we needed, and the staff were welcoming and happy to help from the moment we arrived. The sea view from the room was a lovely extra, and the apartment was cleaned every day. For the comfort and service, the value is outstanding. I'd happily recommend it for a relaxing, well-run stay, and we'll be back.

The flatlet was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed for self-catering, plus safe parking. Staff were always helpful. It's an easy walk to the beachfront and convenience stores, so the location worked really well. A real gem for a stop in PE. They also have a few branches along the Garden Route, including Knysna, and I'm looking forward to staying there too.

I picked this place for its location and was very disappointed. The rooms are tiny, there's nowhere to hang clothes, and the TVs using Open View didn't work. I could hear someone snoring in the next room and couldn't sleep. Breakfast was awful, and the staff weren't friendly. I travel a lot and wouldn't recommend it.

The food was awful, and the bedrooms were small with nowhere to hang our clothes. The place was untidy and the staff weren't friendly. We were told alcohol wasn't allowed on the premises, but another couple who arrived two days after us were allowed to have it. It felt discriminatory.
