I ate dinner at the hotel a few nights, and every meal was brilliant. The chef really takes care to make it special. Breakfast was basic but nicely prepared. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome, and the decor is neat and trendy. The building is beautiful, though very old, with a few things here and there that need repair. Still, everything was impeccably tidy. Some rooms don't have fridges, but there's a shared one available. There are plenty of places to go nearby.

The staff were very helpful, and our Ramsay room was clean with a comfortable king bed. But the shower was cold. We were told to wait for the water to warm up, though after a long drive and feeling sticky, we couldn't wait and showered cold that evening. At 5am, noise from the adjoining room woke us. The walls seem very thin, since we could hear the family's conversation. It's okay if you only need somewhere to sleep for one night.

We had loadshedding and a water outage, with no backup generator. For something rated four stars, it felt far too expensive and short on guest amenities. The booking didn't include breakfast, and the service felt more like a lodge than a hotel. I don't understand the four-star rating for what seemed like a half-star lodge. The place felt like a ghost town, and I found the boutique hotel ugly. I would never recommend it.

I'm a neighbor of The Vic Boutique Hotel, and the noise from there has kept us from sleeping. It started around 10pm on Friday the 21 April 2023 and continued tonight, Saturday the 22 April 2023, getting worse as it went on. I guess it'll last until 3am, like it did Friday. People sit outside making noise for everyone to hear.

The building is lovely, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room servicing was excellent. Breakfast was ordinary in both the selection and quantity. It's a pleasant walk from St George's Park, and the airport is close by.
