We had a lovely dinner, with good quality lamb and vegetables that were carefully and properly prepared. The rooms were large, comfortable, air-conditioned and clean, and the service was friendly. Outside, there are pretty wild gardens, trees and birds, plus a big pool that's great for doing laps.

A good place to stay overnight or for a few days, even weeks. The staff were friendly, and the food was good and well priced.

At Karoopark GRAAFF REINET, the rooms are spacious, clean and neat, and there's a nice swimming pool and braai area. Service was good, prices reasonable, the staff friendly and the food delicious.

The rooms were a little below average, though clean. Service was a shocker: I asked for a menu and was told to go fetch one from the other side of the room. That's the first time anyone has told me to get my own menu. Then a pie with salad took an hour to arrive.

I stayed for four days, and my room was hardly cleaned. The previous occupant's hair was still on the bathroom floor when I left, and the bath towels were never changed. Filthy is the word for it.
