Julia, the Manageress, made this lovely spot even more special. She's a super hostess, and her breakfasts are sublime. The room was beautiful and thoughtfully put together. We slept and napped well on the quiet edge of town. The swimming pool has comfy loungers and a daybed, and the lounge and library area, amenities and linen were great. I especially loved lying on the stoep off the room to read. There's a good selection in the honesty bar, plus tea and coffee in the room with rusks. I did think R30 for a tea bag was a bit steep, since the coffee is free.

The rooms are minimalist, modern and very comfortable, with all the amenities. The toiletries smell lovely and are good quality. The guesthouse is beautiful, and the minibar was well stocked with fresh milk.

Julia made us feel so at home during our lovely, homely stay. Her homemade bread is a must! Our room was divine, and the air con worked like a bomb. The pool area has a lovely setting too. Thank you so much for having us.

Meeting Julia made the stay for us. She was a wonderful host and butler, seemed to read what we needed from our expressions, and made a delicious farm to table breakfast whenever we wanted it. We got a real sense of the historic town's vintage style in the garden, with its plants and wicker chairs, and the original antique furniture inside. The four junior suites are beautifully equipped, with heavenly 1000 threads cotton linen beds and huge bathrooms at the back. Langhuis feels like a South African PERFECT HIDEAWAY luxury villa, and was designed by the same famous lady who designed the Kliphuis at 75 minutes away located Sneeuberg Reserve. We will be back for sure. This is a MUST stay when stopping over in Graaf Reinet.

Julia made the stay feel especially thoughtful and generous. The garden and views are stunning, and the rooms are gorgeous. I’d recommend this place without hesitation.
