Guinea Feather Country Lodge & Spa

Our chalet was called Far Far Away, and the owners had made all the furniture and decor by hand. He’s a talented carpenter, while she’s an artist. Guinea Feather Lodge is a cosy, well-maintained hideaway off the R25 in Limpopo, away from the crowds. There’s a peaceful, creative feel throughout, thanks to the unusual eco-friendly art made from recycled materials, rocks, and wood. You can see how much care, skill, and love of craft has gone into the place.

The food really stood out, it was so original and delicious. The owner was friendly, and our room was clean, though the style felt a little old-fashioned. It’s a great location if you’re looking to get away from everything.

The food was divine, and we were looked after so well. Thanks to everyone at reception and the chef, you really know how to make guests feel important. The deck is beautiful, and I’d love to return and relax there. A few things in Room 7 need attention: please fumigate it, as there were cockroaches by the pedestal and near the kettle and glasses stand. The area where the glasses are kept was dusty and unclean, and the basin was dirty. The rooms themselves are beautiful.

The views are lovely, with evergreen grass, and the dining area has a classic feel. It’s a great place for photos, the outdoors, and some peace and quiet. The rooms are nice, with a country feel, though nothing especially fancy. There are no boom or sliding gates, which adds to the homely atmosphere.
