The toilet seat was coming off, the basin tap was loose, and there was no bathroom light. I also had no hot water because they "forget" to switch on the geyser. There were no marked parking spaces either. Worst B&B in town, and I'd strongly advise guests to avoid it.

I come to groblersdal for work and usually stay at Wilson guesthouse. I've tried almost all the rooms, which are different, and the room cleanliness and hygiene are a 10/10. The beds are exquisite, the sheets are 100% linen, and the place is great for chilling. It exceeded my expectations. The one drawback is that dinner isn't prepared. Instead, they give you a R250 voucher for a nearby restaurant about 2.5 km away. You'll need a car to get there, or Uber if you don't have one.

The backup power worked beautifully, so loadshedding didn't affect our stay. Our room was clean, and I especially liked the room diffusers, they added a nice touch. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. A fantastic place for an overnight stay!

Those birds on the roof need to be dealt with. If you're a light sleeper, it's going to be a long night. It'd also be great to have locks or bolts on the doors leading to the passage.

Making the reservation was super easy, and the hosts were great and accommodating. We stayed two nights for a wedding in a nearby township. Wilson Guesthouse is in a peaceful neighborhood, close to the mall and CBD. It's very clean, beautifully decorated, and great value for money. The building is gorgeous, and even more breathtaking inside. The rooms are high quality, and there was even a TV by the shower, though that wasn't in a standard room.
