That dam view from the deck is breathtaking, with nothing between Kosmos Manor and the water. We found ourselves torn between relaxing on a lounger and taking in the calm, or wandering through the lounges to look at all the interesting objects. The lounges are full of fascinating historical artifacts and other pieces that sparked plenty of discussion, and the rooms are beautifully appointed. We came with family and friends from different countries for a few days of celebrations, and from arrival the attentive, friendly staff seemed to know what we needed. Their personal warmth made us feel at home. Kosmos Manor is a real gem and well worth visiting. We'd love to come back. If we could, we'd give it six stars!

We spent New Years weekend at Kosmos Manor and had a great time. It's relaxed and family friendly, and the staff were helpful and respectful. The surroundings are beautiful, with a lovely dam view and an excellent restaurant on the water.

My husband and I got lost trying to find Kosmos Manor, and the manager's phone went straight to voicemail when we called. We eventually asked around and found it ourselves. From the entrance through reception and into the rooms, the place was filthy, and there was an awful stench as soon as we walked in. Our bed base was visibly broken and slanted toward the headboard. The room was dusty, and the carpets looked as though they hadn't been washed in at least a year. We were told not to drink tap water and instead to use a partly filled 5-litre bottle that looked like it had been salvaged from a rubbish dump. We were so shocked that we checked Google to make sure we'd booked the right place and to read earlier reviews. Kosmos Manor calls itself a five-star establishment and has lots of high ratings, including 9 and above on booking sites. We found that very concerning and questionable. We chose not to stay the night. A zero out of ten would be generous. I think the owners should consider closing permanently, because they don't seem to understand hospitality standards. What a horror.

I've visited Kosmos Manor twice now, and both stays were great. The facilities are clean and well cared for, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly while still giving you space. My favorite part is the view of the dam from the deck. It's so relaxing, just right for a weekend getaway. Highly recommend!
