Chestnut Country Lodge

Jessy and the team really made us feel at home. They went above and beyond to accommodate my cow's milk allergy, and the staff were amazing. The location was wonderful, modern without taking away from the nature and scenery. One of the best stays I've had, and I'd definitely come back.

The food was delicious, our room was comfortable and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend and I spent three nights at the Chestnut lodge during our travels in South Africa. It's beautifully located with stunning views, and honestly was the highlight of our trip. I'd recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

We first visited the lodge with my wife 20 years ago, and it remains a special place. Dinner was excellent, served in a relaxed atmosphere, and the hosts were lovely. The lounge and terrace are great spots to spend time, and the rooms are nice and comfortable. We'll definitely return, hopefully sooner than another 20 years.

The hosts and staff were warm and welcoming, and clearly cared about how our stay went. The food was amazing for everyone, vegan and non-vegan alike, which isn't always easy with dietary restrictions. The chef should write a cookbook. I especially want that butternut squash and green bean recipe! Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. I appreciated the in-room coffee and the locally made, sustainably produced toiletries. The shared spaces were just as nice, with lots of seating indoors and outside. The property and its location are beautiful, and it works well for couples or friends. We only stayed one night, which wasn't enough time to enjoy it all. Highly recommend!
