Even with the resort under serious financial constraints, Heather and her staff are still delivering an exemplary experience. The grounds remain beautifully maintained, and the staff are friendly and polite. Accommodation is excellent value for the price. My only disappointment was the lack of pool table balls and cues. I'd suggest getting more sports gear, such as tennis balls and racquets, and pool table equipment. Keep up the good work in difficult circumstances. Perhaps Stuart Lamont could provide a cash injection from the annual levies paid by Flexiclub members.

The chalets are spacious and very comfortable, with large fans throughout the living areas, though there's no air conditioning. Staff were friendly, and the property wasn't too crowded, which was great. I loved the forested walking trail, but it's tough and gets very hot if you start late. We set off at 6:30 and were pouring with sweat. The route is beautiful and you can choose 3km or 5km, just bring plenty of water.

The pool is amazing, and the setting is lovely. The house was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. We were lucky the weather stayed mild, though; with sunshine, the chalet could get extremely hot since there’s no air conditioning. Our neighbours were also very loud, and repeated complaints didn’t help. It was okay overall, but I probably wouldn’t stay again. Still, it’s a decent option if you need clean accommodation in a nice spot.

The water was dirty and unusable for drinking or bathing, which was especially worrying since we were travelling with a toddler who has eczema. When I reported it, the manager asked why we were calling so early, even though I was getting ready for a full day at Kruger. She said the water was dirty everywhere in Hazyview, including Kruger National Park, but that wasn’t true. The narrow, poor roads made getting to the property difficult, and I even scraped the underside of my car leaving for activities. The grounds aren’t well maintained, so the amenities can’t really be used. Ventilation is poor, the windows don’t close properly, and ants and grasshoppers can get inside. Please don’t book here.
