Tembo Guest Lodge

Shoni was a star and went the extra mile throughout our stay. The staff were all so friendly, and the rooms were neat and clean with fresh linen and towels, cleaned daily. We had an excellent breakfast, including a snack pack for Kruger National Park. Shoni and the whole team at Tembo Guest Lodge made our family trip memorable. We’ll definitely be back, keep up the great service.

The calm surroundings and lush setting made it a lovely place to unwind, and the breakfasts were delicious. The staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived and went out of their way to make the stay comfortable. The rooms were spacious, beautifully furnished and spotless, with a nice mix of modern comforts and local charm. I also appreciated the thoughtful recommendations for exploring the area. Tembo Guest Lodge is a peaceful place to stay and a handy base for nearby attractions. I can’t wait to visit again.

A few things could be better: the shower had no pressure, so it was a struggle. We ordered the Tembo big breakfast and pancakes. The pancakes were really yummy, though breakfast could be improved. Still, it was a great experience overall.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, but dinner was disappointing on both nights. My fish and fries on the first night had good fries, but the fish had no salt or spices at all. The next evening I tried a double cheeseburger with fries instead. The fries were undercooked and soggy, and all I could taste in the burger was rosemary, with no meat, pepper or other spices coming through. After a long safari day, my parents and I couldn’t enjoy a good dinner, which was sad.
