The breakfast had a good cold buffet selection and 5-6 hot options. The scrambled eggs and smoked trout were delicious, and dinner was cooked well and nicely presented, with the menu changing daily. Staff were generally pleasant and friendly. I stayed for two nights. The rooms were large, fairly rustic, and could perhaps use some decorating, but they had good facilities, including espresso, TV and AC. The shower was outside, which was fine since it didn’t rain during my stay.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help. They had dinner ready for me even though I returned after restaurant hours, and held my luggage the next morning when I had to leave at 5 a.m. The pool looked incredible, though I didn’t have time to use it. The grounds were very well maintained, and I’d definitely stay again. My room was spacious and spotless, with a phenomenal view and a very comfortable bed. I also appreciated the complimentary sherry, water and milk. The location was great, about 20 mins from Kruger park. A wonderful, relaxing stay.

The accommodation is comfortable and charming, set among lovely gardens and beautiful bush surroundings. The friendly staff, outstanding service, and genuine hospitality made our trip special. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches during our stay, everything felt personal and caring. Rissington Inn is a real gem and a peaceful, good-value base in Mpumalanga. When we’re next in the Hazyview area, we’ll definitely book there again. Highly recommended. Thank you to the team!

This was my third visit to Rissington, and it never disappoints. The attention to detail is amazing. Thank you for putting decaffeinated coffee in the bedroom, you’re one in a million. If you need a stopover in Hazyview, Rissington is the place to go.

The grounds and buildings are lovely, and the food was okay. It’s not very close or convenient to town. My room had an outdoor shower, which wasn’t pleasant in the rain, and I couldn’t get hot water. There was a bath inside, but using the handheld shower hose with it was awkward.
