Summerfields Rose Retreat & Spa

The meals were excellent, and the staff were kind, attentive and welcoming throughout. We had such an unforgettable stay in a stunning place surrounded by nature, with a peaceful, distinctive atmosphere. We left with amazing memories and would happily come back.

The massages were wonderful, and every detail felt carefully considered. We both left calmer and lighter, as if the stress had gone. The ladies were so polite, too. I may even have started snoring during the treatment, which I’m sorry about, but that’s how relaxed I was. From the moment we drove in, the place felt calm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helped us feel comfortable right away. Nothing seemed rushed, forced or overly formal, just genuine warmth. It really was a little slice of paradise, somewhere to switch off and unwind. We’ll definitely be back.

We came back to the River Cafe at Summerfields after six years and enjoyed another outstanding meal. The three-course dinner was the best we’ve had so far, delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were very capable, and the setting was lovely. We enjoyed it a lot.

Our tented room was out of this world, especially the outdoor bath and shower. The grounds were gorgeous and peaceful, and over three nights we were looked after so well by all the staff from the moment we arrived. Dinner and service each evening were exceptional, with so much care put into the details. One night we came back to a bath run with rose petals, plus a fruit platter and champagne. I was so overwhelmed I cried happy tears. Three nights wasn’t enough to explore everything, and we didn’t get to try the spa, so we’re already planning to return. Thanks for a short, sweet and wonderfully relaxing break!
