Ocean 11 is a lovely B&B overlooking Walker Bay, and we'd happily stay again. The service was fantastic, breakfast was plentiful, and the prices in the well-stocked minibar were nice. There was complimentary sherry in the room as well as tea and coffee, including cafetière coffee rather than just instant. The door to our room stuck a little and the basin taps were loose. I like creamy scrambled eggs, and theirs weren't how I prefer them, though Ocean 11 isn't the only place where that's been the case. We both recommend staying here.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and our room has a beautiful ocean view while still feeling completely private. I've often found Hermanus too touristy, with lots of ugly mass-produced buildings that don't fit the surroundings and take away its original charm. Staying at Ocean eleven has made me fall in love with Hermanus again. This is the first time I've ever felt like I was truly at home away from home.

After a morning jog on the cliff path just beyond the garden door, breakfast leaves nothing to wish for. When you get back from dinner, the attentive staff have already switched on the electric blanket, and there's a fire lit for you when you come home. The interior has been carefully chosen. Give it a try!

The staff's thoughtful little touches made this a five-star stay. The ocean setting is incredible, the room was large with a balcony, and breakfast was solid.

It's quiet but still close to the city. The balconies have stunning views, and if you're lucky, you can spot whales from the breakfast table.
