We were helped at the last minute by Martin and the manager, who made room for us with real warmth and professionalism. Their politeness, care with details, and willingness to help made us feel valued. At Port Del Mar Guest House, the rooms were spacious, modern, spotless, and beautifully done, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. The personal service, cleanliness, and hospitality made for an amazing stay in Hermanus. We’ll definitely be back.

The location near attractions and the stunning views made this a lovely place for a relaxing getaway. Our room was spotless, roomy, and designed with comfort in mind, and the staff were welcoming and warm. I’d recommend it.

The mountain view from our perfect room was lovely, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. We had a wonderful time at this little gem, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Martin was lovely with us, even helping my son collect snails from the garden, which was an odd request. He also lit a fire in the evening, checked that we were okay as two women with young children, and drove me to get takeaway. Breakfast was good, and we had a lovely stay. The rooms and overall space were generous, with a really nice bath for little ones. My children are 3 years and 6 months, and this room could fit two adults and three kids in the second room. We hope to come back soon and maybe see whales next time.

I’ve stayed at plenty of guesthouses in Hermanus over the years, and Port Del Mar is by far my favourite. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it’s a real gem of an owner-run place. What was supposed to be one night turned into four. I’ll come back whenever I’m in Hermanus for a few days.
