The views from bed were lovely, and there was an awesome library of books if you wanted to relax and enjoy them. Renee was the most entertaining and interesting host you'll come across. The place is stunning and peaceful, with a view of the best beach in Hermanus and the majestic mountain behind it. It's perfectly placed for lazy beach days or breathtaking hikes. We felt totally at home 💖

After a long drive, we reached the edge of town at 5 pm, far from the main town and with nothing within walking distance. The luxury room we'd booked ahead and paid for had been given to another couple, so we were offered a small room without a view. We objected and asked if another room was available since we'd paid for luxury. The host immediately turned on us, demanded we leave, became racist and verbally abusive, and said she didn't want us there. She seemed drunk, slurring her words and gesticulating violently. It was peak season, and when we worried about finding somewhere else, she insisted we leave at once but assured us she'd refund us since she was kicking us out. We had to book elsewhere, and she then refused to refund us, keeping the money after making us leave. Truly the worst travel experience of my life, with one of the most reprehensible people I've encountered. A horrible experience, and a horror of a woman. I hope never to repeat it. Stay away.

Renee was a super friendly host and made us feel welcome from the day we arrived. The views from every room were stunning, and it was a lovely guesthouse. The greyhound dogs were absolutely adorable. We love u Renee, we'll definitely be back ❤ Rodney And Sandy 😁

We loved the mountain and sea views from our room. It was so beautiful, clean and neat, and we spent two nights there that felt like a week. The air on our bedroom balcony was so refreshing, and we couldn't get enough of it. We also enjoyed the sea breeze from the front balcony, where breakfast was set out just for us. The manager and staff were amazingly friendly, and their suggestions for places to visit and to eat and drink were helpful. We're definitely going back.
