The town center is only a safe five-minute walk from the surf house, so getting around on foot was easy. We had such a good time at the surf shack hostel. They run fun activities, including whale boat trips, surf lessons, and sea kayaking.

We had a wonderful three days here and felt safe and comfortable the whole time. The people here are great, and you can tell they built the house with love. Hermanus was a town we really liked, and the city center and grocery store are both walkable. It's the safest place in South Africa. We dream of coming back.
