We wished we’d booked more than one night at this lovely, cosy lodge. Our stay at the end of August kicked off our honeymoon around South Africa, and the friendly staff and great breakfast made it a special start. New Harbour is just across from the entrance, so getting to Southern Right Cruises for our whale watching trip the next morning was easy. We also took the coastal cliff walk into town, which begins and ends beside the harbour entrance. For dinner, The Rock is a short walk away in the harbour. We had great, inexpensive seafood there. The route felt safe and was well lit: after entering the harbour, turn left toward the boats, then head up the other side.

The staff made us feel very welcome, and our cosy room was clean. Breakfast was simple and satisfying. The lodge is also conveniently close to New Harbour, just a short walk away.

Chanel deserves a special thank you for choosing our room and making the stay feel special. We had a wonderful holiday at this well-kept hotel. The rooms were beautifully decorated and absolutely clean, and the breakfast was delicious. Service throughout was excellent and professional.

The staff were friendly and always ready to help, and this lodge is easy to recommend. We stayed one night while visiting to see the whales. Breakfast was the best we had among the hotels we booked, with a nice buffet of pancakes, croissants and yoghurt, plus eggs cooked in the kitchen. The WIFI in our Villa room was giving us trouble.
