Inge was a fantastic host, friendly, responsive and very helpful. If you can, book directly with Inge. We spent two lovely weeks in the downstairs three-bedroom unit at Oupa se Pitte – Harold’s Bay, bringing our Schnauzer, Kwagga, and our cat, Gabby. Being pet-friendly made it a great fit for us. The standout was the uninterrupted 180-degree sea view from the main bedroom and living area, which we enjoyed every day. There’s parking on the grass in front, though we used the nearby public parking so the view stayed completely open. The unit felt practical and comfortable for a longer stay, with thoughtful extras like a Nespresso coffee machine, air fryer and milk frother. The second bathroom and laundry are in the outside courtyard, reached through the back door. That worked well, and made it easy to wash and refresh our own linen. Harold’s Bay is a wonderful location, with a Blue Flag beach that stays pristine. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach itself, but there are plenty of lovely walking paths nearby. A beautiful, peaceful place for a relaxing seaside break.

The view from every unit was exceptional, and the house has a cozy, lived-in feel. We were warmly welcomed, and even though it’s self-catering, there was coffee, milk, sugar and rusks for our first cup. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and more. You can hear movement between the units through the wooden floors, so I’d suggest booking the whole house. We’d absolutely come back.

The beach is right at the doorstep, and the view is one of the best. We stayed in the very nice bottom unit, which can comfortably sleep six. It’s a place to find rest for body and mind, and you won’t be disappointed.
