Kapama River Lodge

A once in a lifetime luxury stay at Kapana. We had fantastic staff, knowledgeable guides and trackers, and wild African animals all around. The five star comfort came with an expansive menu that covered special diets too.

Could this place get 10 stars? The staff treated us better than we’ve ever been treated, and every part of it felt like heaven, from the room and pool to the restaurant. Each meal was special and memorable. My husband and I especially want to thank Lans, our guide, and Remember, who made every meal feel special.

The food was a real highlight, with every meal delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. The hospitality made our stay feel special, and we’re so grateful to the team for memories we’ll cherish. A big thank you to Michael and Witness for the wonderful drives. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five on our very first one. They were kind, knowledgeable, and clearly keen to help us spot as many animals as possible. Their friendly, fun atmosphere made each outing feel like an adventure with friends.

Eve and Ma Fridge made the safari unforgettable. They were expert guides, passionate and knowledgeable about wildlife and conservation, and connected so well with our 6-year-old daughter that the whole family enjoyed the drives. We saw all of the Big 5 and much more. Tint also took great care of us at meals, and the food was delicious. Every staff member showed exceptional care and attention. The lodge accommodated our dietary requirements and clearly marked halal food options. Housekeeping seemed to make up our room every time we stepped out. After the excitement of the safari, the spa treatments we booked were heavenly. Kapama River Lodge itself is stunning, with lovely grounds and comfortable rooms beyond what we expected.
