The resort has a great range of facilities: pools, tennis and jukskei courts, mini golf, a shop with the basics, and a good restaurant. There's also a lovely walking trail around the property, and a 1.5 hour boat ride on the dam nearby, 3 km away, is well worth doing. The campsite itself is beautiful, with plenty of grass and large trees, and amazing mountains around it as part of the Drakensberg range. Each site is paved, with electricity and water only a few metres away. The grounds are immaculate, and the large, clean ablutions have lots of hot water, plus laundry and dishwashing facilities. An excellent resort all around.

Loved the open space and beautiful nature, with wildlife wandering freely around. The resort has nice paths to explore on foot, and our living space was beautiful. The restaurant beside the swimming pools was a lovely spot, and I really enjoyed it. I also loved the shop by the pools, especially the ice creams and slush puppies 😁. Everything is close by if you fancy a drive through the surrounding towns and scenery.

There are comfortable, well-kept options for different budgets and travel styles, from self-catering chalets to campsites and caravan facilities. With its heated pool, activities, and family-friendly atmosphere, the resort works well for couples, families, and nature lovers.

Swadini Forever Resort is vast, beautiful, and peaceful. We stayed in a comfortable, homely cottage, and there are also tent and caravan camping options. The two roomy pools, one warm and one cool, were great. I enjoyed walking around the resort in the mornings and evenings. A couple of things need attention: termite sand was on the edges of the bath, and there were spiderwebs in the closet corners. I also had an upsetting experience when I greeted a group of staff in English during my morning walk and they wouldn't respond in English, insisting on speaking the local language. I was later told this happened because I'm black, so they assumed I knew and would speak the South African Black Languages. It's worth reminding staff that not all black people around the world know those languages. Apart from that incident, I'd definitely visit again. We were there for the weekend of May 8th.

The natural setting is beautiful, and the campsite, ablutions, and swimming areas were all clean and well looked after. Still, my stay at Swadini Forever Resort left me with mixed feelings. Hot water came through very poorly, and thorns across the camping and swimming lawns were unpleasant and could be a safety issue. Several parts of the resort are deteriorating and need urgent maintenance. The restaurant was disappointing too, with disorganized service and very long waits. The lovely surroundings and good cleanliness aren't enough to make up for the serious improvements needed.
