Westfield Farm

We only needed a simple place to sleep after a wedding at Netherwood Farm, and this was just right. For R850, I found a last-minute booking for two people for one night and was delighted. We dropped off our bags and dress, had coffee and a rusk, then headed to the wedding venue. At 23h30 we drove back and were home before midnight. We slept well and had a hot shower in the morning. Thank you, Mike!

The natural setting and location are what earned this place my five stars, and the cleaning lady was amazing. There’s also a fantastic nearby farmers market called the windmill, with amazing bread and biltong. I wasn’t comfortable with how often the owner reminded us to clean up the kitchen, even before we’d used it. When he saw me smoking outside, he kept lecturing me about not smoking in the rooms. There are signs everywhere about not smoking indoors, but he went on about it while I was smoking herb outside. I don’t wanna cry racism, but... One other thing, if you’re not staying alone, avoid room 4. You can see the other person using the toilet. I toured the other rooms, though I didn’t stay in them, and their bathroom setups were much better.

Really good service, comfortable accommodation, and everything was clean. The TV and kitchen are shared, though, rather than being in the room. The gardens are well kept, and the mountains and little private dam are stunning. That more than makes up for it. Best bass fishing experience, plus they’re pet friendly.

The owners are lovely and the staff are awesome. Westfield Farm has beautiful views and a peaceful setting where you can unwind and relax. People judge a stay by all sorts of things, from the price and rooms to accessibility and service, and this place made me rethink what to look for. We hope to stay with you again sometime. Thank you!
