Idube Game Reserve

Even with all the rain during our visit, the people at Idube made sure we still had a wonderful time. Joas and David kept the morning and afternoon drives going safely, and went above and beyond to help us see incredible wildlife. We spotted monkeys, impala, waterbuck and nyala just walking around the grounds. The reserve is beautiful, with skilled trackers and guides, accommodating staff and exceptional food. The people of Idube were consistently generous, attentive and delightful, and made the place feel magical. We’re grateful to them all.

We saw multiple leopards, rhinos, lions and wild dogs over three days, along with hundreds of other animals. In one day, Congive and Ian helped us find the Big Five and wild dogs. They’re brilliant trackers, know the animals and their environment so well, and clearly love sharing the park. They were also hilarious. The newly renovated rooms are spacious suites with lovely decks and private pools, and the wildlife viewing was excellent. Every meal had a new menu, with delicious food and great presentation. The staff were welcoming and offered wonderful luxury hospitality, especially Orwen. Idube was a luxury experience from start to finish, and I strongly recommend it.

Marlo, our guide, and David, our tracker, made every safari memorable with amazing animal sightings. We spent three incredible days at Idube Game Reserve. The rooms were comfortable and beautiful, the food delicious, and everyone on staff was friendly and kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better visit and can’t wait to return!

The animal experiences were the best I’ve had on any game drive. Ian and tracker Congive were world class, as were the accommodations. The food was so good it could almost distract you from why you came to see the animals!
