The unit was spotless and so comfortable, with a lovely feel throughout. It really felt like home, only better. Everything from the kitchen appliances to the linen was great. The village walks and views across the bay were lovely too. A great choice for a peaceful weekend or some time away. Highly recommended.

We spent our honeymoon in the peace and quiet of Jacob's Bay, and it was wonderful. The room was beautiful and clean, with thoughtful extras everywhere: a coffee machine with complimentary coffee and pods, a bedside USB charger for up to four devices, free wifi and a full DSTV package. There was also reading material about the town and nearby towns. A heater and fireplace made the cold nights easy to handle. You could feel the care and thought that went into the place and its guests. Wonderful place, amazing people, and affordable prices.

In Unit 1, several kitchen appliances didn’t work, and too many seemed to be plugged into an adaptor, causing problems with another unit. The bedside lamps were also out. The host or manager seemed perplexed when we arrived at 5pm, saying she thought we were coming much later. The security alarm was going off, and the whole arrival felt stressful. The bedroom was comfortable, but the shower was tiny and hard to use without a mixer, so the water was either scalding hot or cold. Only one person could fit in the small bathroom at a time. Loose extension cords hanging in the kitchen looked unattractive and seemed to overload the system.

We had an amazing stay at Arum lily, unit 5. It was clean, smelled great and had lovely decor. The amenities were great, with thoughtful extras like a nespresso machine, fresh lilies, beach towels, soft white fluffy gowns and an umbrella in case it rained.
