The rooms were comfortable, and the private rooms have a great view. Just watch your head around the low wooden cabin openings, I bumped mine more than once. There’s a pool table, beer pong, and beach access, and the braai area was a fun place to meet people. The restaurant food was nice too. I was disappointed by how unfriendly and unhelpful some of the staff were, though the bartender was amazing. I’d still come back for the experience and the people I met.

The location is hard to beat, perched a little above the beach in Jeffrey's bay with views that take your breath away. My dorm room was clean, and so were the toilet facilities. They serve food and drinks, offer surfing lessons and other activities, and the people running the place are full of love. This has to be one of the coolest backpackers I’ve stayed at. The staff were fantastic. What a hidden gem!

The food, guests, staff, and general vibe all make this place feel special. It works for a laid-back holiday or budget travel, and I left feeling refreshed, humbled, and with new friends. The lodge is clean and well run. Huge thanks to Charmain (aka Charmandi 😜) for making my stay memorable. I’m planning to visit again VERY soon. Just please take a look at the black mould in the showers 🙂

Right on the beach, so it feels really peaceful, and the view is amazing. I enjoyed my stay a lot. The vibe is lovely, the people are sweet, and the staff are welcoming and kind, especially Charmaine.
