We had a terrible stay. The place feels like an old age home, and the “head girl” runs around enforcing rules. Lekker slaap should not be advertising it. The Body Corp and the “Head Girl” seem to watch everything you do. If you try to fish, she’ll tell you not to leave your rod unattended. There are signs saying no splashing, diving, jumping in the pool or kicking balls. That’s what kids do! It’s not pet or child friendly, and it’s not somewhere I’d book for a nice time with friends and family. The people were very unfriendly. Stay away.

The beach is an easy walk away, and there’s a 7.5km canal right nearby, so it’s a great home away from home. Just be aware that it’s a sectional title complex with rules, so ask about them before you arrive. Parking and trailer space are both limited.

We had an amazing few days there, even though the weather turned bad on our last day. Vicky and Dina kept checking in on us. Definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed.
