Melrose Hideout B&B

The bathrooms were poorly cleaned, especially the filthy shower tiles, and the service was below par. Staff were rude and unproductive, and there was no organisation. We had booked massages but couldn’t have them because the room smelled funky after ‘happy endings’. Strange men also came into our rooms while we were asleep. When we raised this with the owner, she said there were no men at her spa, though the receptionist said they’d been there for a month. It seems the owner doesn’t have a clear grasp of what’s going on. The manager promised to refund the massage money and still hasn’t, avoiding accountability. This kind of service is very triggering, especially when you want to support Black Businesses!

The team really went out of their way to make our Valentine’s weekend special. We stayed here and had a couples massage, and had a fabulous time. Thanks, guys.

The toilet wouldn’t flush because its handle was broken. On top of that, the staff ladies kept singing and watching or making TikToks, which was so noisy, rude and disruptive.

I stayed at Melrose Hideout for a month and felt at home. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and made everything smooth and enjoyable. It’s in a quiet, secure area, so I felt I had privacy and peace of mind. The place was exceptionally clean and well looked after throughout my stay. I especially enjoyed unwinding in the pool after a busy day, and the fully equipped kitchen made preparing meals easy. Everything was kept in pristine condition. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful, safe and well equipped. Thank you, Melrose Hideout team ❤️
