Modern and Cozy 1BR Unit at The Bolton Rosebank

Living at The Bolton means Rosebank is right outside your door, with city life, shops, food, art, friends, work and leisure all nearby. The apartments offer a minimalist modern setup, and extra storage gives you more room without taking up living space. You can also hold business meetings in the stylish boardroom, which has super-fast uncapped internet.

There was no water during my stay, and on checkout morning I couldn't even freshen up or get ready properly. Before I arrived, I emailed to request an early check-in and offered to pay extra, but the room was still occupied and then being cleaned when I got there. I waited until 3pm, and the cleaner was still inside, taking her time. The worst part was her lack of professionalism: she unlocked the door and walked in without knocking while I was getting dressed. She plugged in her phone and stared at us as though we weren't guests who had paid for privacy and respect. The whole experience was unacceptable. I'm disgusted with the service and wouldn't recommend The Bolton Rosebank to anyone.

I spent over three years living at The Bolton. It started out clean and quiet, a good fit for young professionals, but the living conditions got much worse over time. Now the building is noisy and badly managed. Children run in the hallways, and the walls are thin enough that you hear neighbours' conversations and phones. Even with a no-smoking policy, cannabis smells often got into my apartment because of poor ventilation. I also worried about safety at night. Once, I was harassed in reception and the night guard wouldn't step in. iGrow regularly ignored or delayed maintenance requests, and mould and cockroach problems were never properly dealt with. When I moved out, getting my deposit back was difficult too. I called iGrow's head office repeatedly and got no response. I wouldn't recommend The Bolton to anyone wanting a peaceful, well-managed or secure place to live.

There's never enough water, and the owners always have another excuse. The tank can't supply the whole property, yet they keep taking on more tenants. Security is practically nonexistent, and the basement parking gate, which you pay for, hardly works. Logging a maintenance request is impossible. Add the poor workmanship on the built-in cupboards and plumbing, and the high rent just isn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend living here.
