motel Mi Pi CHi

Booking through booking.com got us into a different place after Mi Pi Chi sent us to another property around the corner for our 3 night stay. The rooms there were old and dirty, with just a bath and no shower. The owner brushed off our concerns and got belligerent when we asked for a refund, which she refused. We were being pushed to stay somewhere we hadn't booked, and the messy, smelly property wasn't shown in the booking.com photos. That felt like false advertising. We called bookings.com, and they kindly found us another place. Avoid this dump. There are much nicer places around the corner. I wish I'd taken photos to show everyone.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, and one team member really went out of their way to help when we realized on our first night that we'd left a passport at our previous lodge, over 7 hours away. They explored different ways to get it back. Our room was a highlight: spacious, cute, and impeccably clean. The common kitchen was fully equipped and spotless, too. Motel Mi Pi Chi is a charming boutique style motel, and it exceeded our expectations. You can walk to the market and small stores. We had a wonderful stay, with outstanding service.

We got our own apartment, with three bedrooms and one spacious bathroom, and housekeeping came every day. The neighborhood is really nice, the WiFi was the fastest I've ever seen, and the manager was the nicest. Everything was super clean. I love this place. Well done, Mi Pi Chi!

It really felt like a cocoon. The rooms are large and nicely decorated, and the staff are super helpful and very nice. A lovely spot in a really nice Johannesburg neighborhood.
