The rooms were clean and really comfortable, and I felt safe throughout my stay. Breakfast was included and way better than I expected. The patio was lovely, too. The staff were fantastic, especially Jordan and Kenneth, who remembered what I liked for the next day.

The location is really convenient, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and quick to help, from the people checking me in to the chef making eggs and the poolside restaurant waiters. Southern Sun knows how to make guests comfortable. They all deserve a shout-out.

We stayed for a week, and breakfast never repeated a dish. Since we're pure vegetarian, the chefs made something different for us each morning. Chloe, Sello, Roger, Chad, and James were wonderful. I didn't meet the rest of the chef team, but I imagine they're just as fantastic. Chloe has a real magic in her hands. I can't put into words how much we appreciated them. The reception and restaurant staff were also kind and did their jobs perfectly. This was the best place to stay in Johannesburg, without a doubt.

Being connected straight to Hyde Park Corner mall made shopping and dining so easy, and the location felt unbeatable. I also loved the views from the rooftop restaurant or pool area. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, and the pool and lounge were good places to unwind. The hotel looks modern and clean, with a fitness center, business center, and free Wi-Fi. Staff were attentive and super friendly, too. Southern Sun Hyde Park felt top-notch.

We keep coming back whenever we're in Joburg. The hotel feels safe, and being able to get into Hyde Park is handy for errands. The city views are fantastic. Breakfast was delicious, and the bar burgers were great. Staff are friendly and reliable, and the service is always good.
