I booked through discoverytravel at the last minute because I had to travel urgently and most affordable places were full. The establishment accepted the booking around 22H45 on 24th December, then B&B manager Christina called, rude and aggressive, to say they couldn't host me because their system had made an error. I told her that was their system's problem and asked what they could do. She hung up and switched off her phone. The next day she ignored my messages until I called discoverytravel, and only then did she respond. It was thoroughly unprofessional. The first room was disgusting: flies on the floor, mold on the wall, a broken toilet, and a filthy shower. The floors were raised from flooding. It wasn't fit for anyone to stay in, especially a paying guest. After I complained, they moved me to a slightly better room, but hygiene was still poor. Christina apologized later, but only after I complained about being put in a room no decent person should have to stay in. Don't waste your money here. Book somewhere else unless you're prepared to rough it for a few nights.

The hostess was wonderful, and the welcome and attention to guests were spot on. Breakfast was lovely, and the stay was clean, tidy, smoke-free, and super quiet. The prices are very reasonable. I do think the rooms and bathrooms need an upgrade, but I enjoyed our stay.

The pictures on booking.com looked great and the reviews were good, but the place was underwhelming and didn't match the advert. The shower handle was broken, and the toilet hadn't been flushed by the previous guest. With no aircon, the room might suit winter, but not a heat wave. There was also no water, and we couldn't shower before checkout because the Jojo tanks hadn't been filled. The pool couldn't be used either. The R1200 we spent was wasted, and it wasn't a good experience.

The staff deserve a 10 out of 10, they're a real asset to the business. We had a spotlessly clean, perfect room with a very comfortable bed, plus secure off-road parking. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was the best I've had in ages. Thanks for a lovely stay. We'll be back!
