Garden Court Kimberley

The management, front desk staff, and housekeepers were all humble and willing to serve. The setup is okay, though it may not suit everyone's environmental preferences. The rooms need renovation, especially much of the furniture, and each room should have a fridge. Dining at Spur was the worst part: service was very slow, and they need to improve how they approach customers and make sure orders are served properly.

Spur is an easy walk after a long drive, which was handy. The parking is open, but there’s a security guard on duty. Our very clean room and overnight stay with breakfast included were good value.

I was in NC for work and booked because this hotel ranked highly for bed, breakfast, and dinner. Check-in went smoothly, then I was told dinner meant a voucher for Nondos or eating at Spur. I wouldn’t have chosen the dinner option if I’d known that arrangement beforehand. Also, white men were playing golf tennis in the corridors. How does a hotel allow that?

Breakfast was lovely, and I liked both the location and the service. The guys were kind enough to let us check in early. The bathroom wasn’t to my taste: it had only a bathtub with a shower over it and an old-style shower tap.
