The location works well, but the property feels worn down. Toilets and seats aren't being repaired, and the pillowcases and towels have clearly seen better days.

Room 8 has a broken toilet, and the rooms aren't clean. The pillowcases are old too. This really shouldn't be operating as a guest house.

The rooms have good beds and are clean, with useful things like a TV, fridge and air conditioning. It could be a good place to stay, but maintenance needs attention. We had to fix the door catches ourselves, spacing them and using pop rivets because the hooks weren't engaging, so the doors couldn't be secured. The bathroom soap dispenser was broken, and the shower frame was coming apart. There was no shower door either, so water could spill out and create a slip or fall risk.

No plates or cutlery were provided, and when I tried to shower at 8:00 the water was cold. The room layout was okay, but the room itself was freezing and the owner's reception felt just as cold. I was told not to adjust the oil heater, which made no difference anyway. A bad experience overall.

The woman from the Zim Midlands gave excellent service. But the room was very cold during Friday's cold front, and there was no spare blanket in the wardrobe, which would have been useful that weekend. The three-stage air conditioner seemed set to stop at ordinary room temperature. There was no sweetener for tea or coffee, and sugar isn't suitable for some people. The clock's constant ticking was annoying, so I took out its battery for some quiet. I also didn't watch TV because I didn't like the channels available.
