The bed was large and really comfortable, but the welcome felt unfriendly. The hostess just handed me the key, pointed me toward the room and said very little, so I felt like a stranger. In the morning the bathroom taps had no hot water. When I asked, I was told four rooms share one geyser and I should have showered earlier. That didn't sit well with me. Breakfast was very limited too.

We felt unwelcome as soon as we arrived. The lady was very unfriendly and short-tempered, and nobody could help when I found that the fan in my room didn't work. I wouldn't recommend the place and won't be back. On Sunday we asked for road packs, which were disappointing. The kids don't even drink ZOOM juices, and everything had been crammed into a paper bag, leaving the bread squashed. Sorry, but I'm not happy at all.

The rooms have excellent attention to detail, and the food was incredibly nice. A beautiful stay and great value for the money. King's Chateau Guest House is a five-star place in Klerksdorp, and I'd highly recommend it when visiting.

There wasn't a shower in our room, and the next morning there was no warm water. Since it was summer, the lack of both a fan and air conditioning made the room uncomfortable. Two hours after I first posted, the owner texted my fiance to complain about the review and started insinuating things. That isn't good service. I wasn't happy with the stay.

I prepaid for three nights, and it felt like a waste of money. There was no one to welcome us or open the gate when we arrived, and our room wasn't ready. We also had power trips, plumbing problems and very limited parking. The cleaner seemed to be running the place, which may explain the poor service. The owner was only reachable by phone and never checked on the guests.
