The lagoon view from the bar is lovely, and the house sits right by the lagoon, with a small beach. There's a well laid out bar and board games if you fancy them. The rooms are clean and neat and have everything you could want, though I wasn't totally bowled over when I first arrived. Breakfast was great, Mike was a good host, and the view of the Kynsna heads is amazing.

Mike was a lovely host and shared great local recommendations we wouldn't have found ourselves. The staff were wonderful and went beyond what we needed. The rooms were modern, comfortable, light and airy, and beautifully decorated. We chose Bollard Bay House after a lot of research, and didn't look back. It's right off the beach, with the best views of all the guesthouses on the island. Having spent around 45 nights in South Africa, from Cape Town to Knysna, this was the best guesthouse we stayed at in the country, by some way. Five out of five in every aspect.

Mike made us feel at home and was an amazing, helpful host. The ladies who work with him in the mornings do a great job too. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful guest house and can't wait to return.
