The location made it easy to get to grocery shops, shopping, and restaurants. We also went to see the Knysna Heads, did Gin/Beer tasting, visited markets and The Waterfront, and found a place to canoe nearby. The lads went fishing too. Our host was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, sharing local activity tips and cooking advice since she is a chef. Her rusks are hands down the best I’ve ever had, so buy a bag. The garden is beautiful, with a sparkling pool, and our unit looked out at the Knysna Heads. There’s a newly built deck downstairs for sundowners as well. We took two quaintly decorated self-catering units, both equipped for cooking and making coffee. Bedding and towels were crisp and clean, and the units were cleaned daily, which is rare for self-catering. I’ve stayed in lots of places in SA and around the world, and this was the neatest and cleanest one ever. We’ll definitely return.

Twelve years ago we stayed here, and we knew we wanted to come back. Each room has its own style and stunning views, plus a luxurious bed. Lovely place and people, with everything you need and more.

The staff took care of everything we needed each day and went well beyond what we expected. We had a tremendously pleasant stay at Gaudeloupe Guesthouse, one of our best holiday experiences yet. Such lovely people, and we’d visit again anytime.

We were greeted so warmly and had a great stay at Guadeloupe. The apartment’s view was fantastic, and those chocolate chip cookies were so delicious. I’d love to return and spend an evening at the Cooking School. I’m sure it would be great fun.
