Lakeside Knysna Accomodation

The rooms were clean, neat, and comfortable, but we couldn’t sleep well without a decent fan in each room. There was only one very poor fan between two rooms. Please add fans and let us know, and we can come back.

Perfect for a last-minute holiday. The location is great for walking off dinner in a safe neighbourhood, and there’s secure off-street parking. The staff checked in every day to make sure everything was sorted. Love the vibe, and thank you, Andre.

We came to get away from city life and do some lagoon fishing, and the self-catering unit gave us that lakeside house feeling. From the unit there’s a great view of the Knysna heads and lagoon. It’s basic, but has what you need, plus a few thoughtful extras some places don’t provide: fresh towels, coffee, tea, sugar, hand wash, shower gel, wifi, and cleaning service. The welcome was warm and friendly, and stayed that way throughout our four-day visit. It’s right on the main road and across from the main fishing spots, making it handy for a fishing break or a family stay. The main shops, Thesen island, Knysna quays, and other attractions are within easy walking or driving distance.

The view was unbeatable, and I could park right outside my room’s front door. The N2 might feel a bit close to some people, though by the second night I wouldn’t have noticed even a fleet of tanks driving down it. A couple of things stopped this from being a five-star stay, but I’d request that same room again in Knysna in a heartbeat.
