We’ve been having a fabulous stay at On the Estuary. The staff have treated us like royalty, and our spacious room and bathroom are spotlessly clean. There’s lots of free parking, two lovely small pools, and braai facilities on site. Breakfast is excellent in the sparkling dining room. The highway is fairly close, but it hasn’t been a problem at all. There are emergency lights in the room for those infernal loadshedding issues. Just steps away, there’s an excellent restaurant called Muse and a superb Thai massage studio. Would I stay at this 4 star bnb again? In a heartbeat!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast, plus a relaxing Happy Hour at the bar. The hospitality was fantastic, and the beautiful rooms have so much care in the details. I even learned a bit about art deco. We were here with our two teenage kids, and had a lovely, restful stay. We walked from On The Estuary along the lagoon to the waterfront harbor and back. Thanks for helping us book activities and accommodating us. There’s so much to see and do, and we can’t wait to return to Knysna!

They made us feel like family on our first visit. After our 7,5 hours of travel, the kitchen stayed open for our group of eight, and the people who served us were so friendly and lovely to talk to. The accommodation is beautifully placed in what feels like an Eden. There was a mix-up with the dates by the person who booked for us, but the hostess quickly came up with a solution and had everything sorted in a few minutes. Thank you! Baie dankie.
